The successful candidate will manage the suite of Foróige services in county Waterford in the South region. Foróige employs 40 staff in the region to provide a range of educational & developmental services to young people in the area. Minimum 21 hours per week.

Youth Diversion Projects are Community based, multi-agency youth crime prevention initiatives which seek to divert young people who have been involved in anti-social and/or criminal behaviour by providing suitable activities to facilitate learning and personal development.

To work directly with the young people/vulnerable adults with Special Needs, and their families to create an integrated social environment where they can learn and form friendships, that also supports their development & inclusion as valued members of the community.

The purpose of this role (15 hours) is to provide a safe, child centred environment/experience to children in the context of the service in which you work and appropriate to the role. Experience of working with children for a minimum of 6 months is essential.

The candidate is required to have a Social Care qualification and two years post qualification experience is desirable. The candidate will be required to work designated shifts as per the roster and as needed, including overnights, weekends and holidays.
