Irish Links is an online directory that lists Irish non-profit and community organisations. The directory houses about 1,500 organisations in various categories, which are listed alphabetically.

Listings on Irish Links are free. Please note that only Irish non-profit or community organisations can submit items for listing.

Abhaile Arís

Abhaile Arís based in Letterkenny, County Donegal, works with the Republican ex-Prisoner community to bring about their acceptance as equal members of Irish society. It is also our function to engage actively in discussions and projects with other community based groupings. Since our inception in 1998 we have initiated and played a leading role in many joint community-based projects whilst contributing positively with our time and resources to many more.

Abode (Doorway to Life)

Doorway to life began services in 1986 in Mahon, a suburb of Cork City. Over the years as we developed our services, our original building was not fit for purpose.Working in partnership with Cork City Council we developed a new purpose built facility in Kilbrack Grove, Blackrock. This enables us to offer enhanced services and facilities to service users with a physical and sensory disability.

ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care Service provides Marriage Preparation courses for couples choosing to get married in the Catholic Church.

ACCORD offers a professional counselling service for couples and individuals to explore, reflect upon and work to resolve difficulties that arise in their marriage & relationships.

ACET

ACET in Ireland is a leading provider of Health Education, Training and Community Care Projects. Founded in 1990 as an interdenominational Christian response to HIV/AIDS, ACET now offers a wide range of services on HIV/AIDS and the related issues of Drug Use & Misuse, Relationships and Sexual Health.

ACET is the only cross border agency in Ireland working in the area of HIV/AIDS and related issues. The partnership comprises ACET (Northern Ireland) established in Belfast in 1990 and ACET (Republic of Ireland) established in Dublin in 1992.

Active Retirement Ireland

Active Retirement Ireland (ARI) is a national membership organisation that aims to enable older people to lead a full, happy and healthy life through a range of opportunities organised by local older people themselves through local Active Retirement Associations.

ARI has a membership of 457 local associations.

Membership of the local associations is open to retired men and women over the age of 55 years. Our philosophy is based on older people doing things for themselves.

ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services

ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services is a voluntary organisation which was set up in 1974 to provide a wide range of supports to women survivors of domestic abuse and their children across Limerick City and County. ADAPT runs the largest refuge in the country providing emergency accommodation for women and children who have to leave their homes because of domestic abuse. It also provides a wide range of outreach services for women who are not staying in the refuge including: 24 hour helpline support, 1-2-1 support in relation to issues arising as a result of domestic abuse e.g.

ADHD Ireland

ADHD Ireland’s mission is to make life better for people affected by ADHD. We are dedicated to providing up-to-date information, resources and networking opportunities to individuals with ADHD, parents of children with ADHD and the professionals who serve them. We provide support and advice through our phone line and emails, send out information, produce publications, organise information sessions, run Solution Focussed Brief Therapy courses for young people, run parenting courses, work to raise awareness of the condition and contribute to research.

Adlerian Network of Ireland

The aim of the Adlerian Network of Ireland is to promote the understanding and application of Adlerian Psychology. The ANI acts as a coordinating body for two committees which function under its umbrella. These are the Summer School Committee and the South Tipperary Parent Network.

AdVIC

Advocates (Ad) who campaign for greater rights for Victims (VIC) of Homicide, their families and friends. We bring together families bereaved by homicide including those affected by Murder, Manslaughter and Fatal Assault.

AdVIC is a national non-profit, non-government funded charitable organisation. We were founded in 2005 by a group of families trying to cope with the unlawful killing of a family member. We at AdVIC understand the issues faced by families following the homicide of their loved ones, as all our members have suffered a similar tragedy.

Age Action Care and Repair Programme

The Care & Repair Programme was established to carry out “odd jobs” for  older people and to provide a befriending service. The programme is currently based in Dublin, Galway and Cork, and on a franchise basis in other locations around the country. Care & Repair is funded by Irish Life Plc.

The main aim of the Programme is to assist older people to carry out necessary small repairs and improvements to their homes, enabling them to live independently in the community in increased comfort and safety.

AIDS Partnership with Africa (APA)

A Partnership with Africa (APA) is an Irish Charity which supports a partnership-based approach to development wherever it works - presently in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Kenya. Since its charitable founding in 2004, APA has supported projects that focus on areas such as preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS, engaging with domestic workers and bar workers to challenge exploitative working conditions, ensuring community inclusion of ethnic minorities and the establishment of clean water sources for rural communities.

AIMS Ireland - Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services

AIMS Ireland is a voluntary organisation that was formed in early 2007 by mothers dissatisfied with the Maternity Care System and ready to campaign for changes.

Our goal is to highlight and support normal birth and mother-friendly birth practices in Ireland.
