Esker House Domestic Abuse Service, is a service provided by Athlone Community Service Council CLG (ACSC), operating from Athlone, Co Westmeath. We provide a suite of service to women and children subjected to domestic abuse. Our role is to provide a safe space for each woman and her children and then to assist her in exploring options and making decisions which will lead to a safer life.
Esker House are currently at a stage of organisational development and growth. As a priority area for refuge and service development under the Third National Strategy for DSGBV, we are in the process of planning a new purpose-built facility, which will expand our refuge capacity as well as our community support services.
Our values are grounded in Domestic Abuse Trauma Informed Practice, creating supportive and nurturing workplace with a professional and experienced team.

We are currently seeking applications for the positions of:
Job Title: Refuge Service Co-Ordinator
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Job Title: Refuge Support Worker
Hours of Work: 36 hours per week. Monday – Sunday 12 hour shifts of Days/ Nights
Job Title: Refuge Support Worker (Maternity Contract starting May 2024)
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week. Monday – Sunday 12-hour shifts of Days/ Nights
Job Title: Refuge Support Worker (Relief contract)
Hours of Work Monday – Sunday 12-hour shifts of Days/ Nights
Job Title: Child and Youth Services; Social Care Worker.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
