Panel of Contract for Services: Therapeutic Services – Play Therapy & Adolescent Psychotherapy
Silver Arch Family Resource Centre (SAFRC), based in North Tipperary, invites suitably qualified and experienced professionals to express their interest in joining a Panel of Independent Contractors to provide therapeutic services on a contract-for-services basis.
We are seeking professionals with recognised qualifications and relevant experience in either:
Play Therapy, &/or
Adolescent Psychotherapy
About us:
Silver Arch Family Resource Centre, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023 and has continued to uphold its primary objective: “To provide community-based support, information, and advocacy services to individuals, families, and groups in North Tipperary, so as to empower and help people, particularly those who are most disadvantaged, to access services.” Silver Arch FRC deliver a diverse range of supports and services, including ‘The Thrift Shop’ Social Enterprise, rural Early Childcare preschools (Templederry & Portroe), the Community Families Home Visiting Programme, Family Support, Parenting Support Programmes, Partnership with Families, Unity Child & Youth Hub, Social Prescribing, child and adolescent therapeutic services, adult counselling, gambling counselling, health & wellbeing projects, older persons services, and community development outreach projects. These initiatives serve families, older persons, and individuals ranging from 0-100+ years, across our outreach locations in Nenagh, Newport, and Borrisokane.

Key Information:
- The therapist will be self-employed, on a contract for service, and is responsible for their own clinical supervision and paying their income tax.
- Minimum direct client contact session duration: 40 minutes (remaining 20 min to be used for associated administrative duties)
- Location: Silver Arch FRC
- Start Date: Ongoing recruitment
- Work Basis: Inclusion on the panel does not guarantee work. Referrals and sessions are dependent on the availability of funding and assessed client need based on SAFRC referrals only.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised professional qualification in Play Therapy or Adolescent Psychotherapy – minimum level 8 (NQF) or equivalent qualification in Counselling & Psychotherapy with additional training working with children and young people.
- Current accredited membership of a relevant professional body (IACP, BACP, IAHIP, FTAI, APPI, NAPCP, ICP, APCP, PTIrl, IAPTP)
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Garda Vetting (carried out by Silver Arch FRC)
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic context, in particular, experience of working with vulnerable children/young people.
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience practicing.
- Commitment to best practice, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
- Attend Clinical Supervision regularly (in line with guidelines set out by accrediting body).
- Be flexible.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
