Adlerian Network of Ireland

The aim of the Adlerian Network of Ireland is to promote the understanding and application of Adlerian Psychology. The ANI acts as a coordinating body for two committees which function under its umbrella. These are the Summer School Committee and the South Tipperary Parent Network.

AdVIC

Advocates (Ad) who campaign for greater rights for Victims (VIC) of Homicide, their families and friends. We bring together families bereaved by homicide including those affected by Murder, Manslaughter and Fatal Assault.

AdVIC is a national non-profit, non-government funded charitable organisation. We were founded in 2005 by a group of families trying to cope with the unlawful killing of a family member. We at AdVIC understand the issues faced by families following the homicide of their loved ones, as all our members have suffered a similar tragedy.

AFrI

Afri is a group of committed and creative people who seek to promote debate and influence policy and practice in Ireland and internationally on human rights, peace and justice issues.

Afri, in particular, responds to injustice in the world caused by war and other violent conflict.

Africa Centre

Africa Solidarity Centre is an independent voluntary membership organisation that is committed to supporting African immigrants and the promotion of Africa-Ireland links. The organisation's focus centres on five broad areas:
- Development Education
- Community Development
- Solidarity and Campaign
- Africa-Ireland Links
- Social and Cultural Activities

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES:

Age Action Care and Repair Programme

The Care & Repair Programme was established to carry out “odd jobs” for  older people and to provide a befriending service. The programme is currently based in Dublin, Galway and Cork, and on a franchise basis in other locations around the country. Care & Repair is funded by Irish Life Plc.

The main aim of the Programme is to assist older people to carry out necessary small repairs and improvements to their homes, enabling them to live independently in the community in increased comfort and safety.

Age Action Ireland

Age Action Ireland is the national independent organisation on ageing and older people.

It acts as a network of organisations and individuals including older people and carers of older people.

It is a development agency promoting better policies and services for older people in an ageing society.

Our main aim is to improve the quality of life of older people, especially those who are most disadvantaged and vulnerable, by enabling them to live full, independent and satisfying lives, for as long as they wish in their own homes.

Age And Opportunity

Age & Opportunity is the Irish national agency working to:

Challenge negative attitudes to ageing and older people.

Promote the participation of older people in all areas of society, and to encourage understanding between the generations.

Our major areas of work are: the arts, health, physical activity, education and the media.

Ageing Research and Development Division (previously CARDI)

Promoting public health intelligence for better policy-making and improved services is a core focus of  Institute of Public Health work. The Division of Ageing Research and Development has a particular focus on improving public health intelligence relating to ageing and older people. The division which was previously known as the Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) became part of IPH in September 2015.

Aidlink

Founded in 1982, Aidlink is a non-denominational non-governmental organisation focusing on the support of small to medium sized long-term community development projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

AIDS Partnership with Africa (APA)

AIDS Partnership with Africa (APA), is a charity organisation entirely focused on those with or affected by AIDS in Africa. APA aims to promote a broad-spectrum response to AIDS, integrating prevention and care as top priorities. APA wants to help save lives, prevent human suffering, limit the devastating impact on human development, and the slide into critically low levels of poverty. APA wants to create an environment where children can realize their rights, including those of survival and development, health, education and protection from abuse and neglect.

AIMS Ireland - Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services

AIMS Ireland is a voluntary organisation that was formed in early 2007 by mothers dissatisfied with the Maternity Care System and ready to campaign for changes.

Our goal is to highlight and support normal birth and mother-friendly birth practices in Ireland.

We are a consumer led, campaign pressure group operating with a self-regulating committee elect and a body of members consisting of parents, consumers, health care professionals, and support group representatives throughout Ireland.

We offer free, independent, confidential support to women and their families.
