Active Retirement Ireland (ARI) is a national charity and membership organisation that aims to empower older people to maintain social and community connectedness for a full, happy and healthy life. The organisation is member-led, with older people organising activities and events for themselves within a network of local Active Retirement Associations.

ARI has a membership of more than 21,000 members across 500+ local Active Retirement Associations throughout Ireland.

Our mission to reach out to all older people to stop loneliness through friendship and support, and membership is open to anyone who has retired from work — whether full or part-time, or paid or unpaid work.
