Sage Advocacy’s mission is to promote, protect and safeguard the rights and dignity of older people, vulnerable adults, and healthcare patients through individual and systemic advocacy. Sage provided information, support and advocacy services to more than 12,000 people (cases & queries) in 2024 and demand for its services is growing. The work of Sage on behalf of clients is independent of family, service provider or systems interests. The service is free of charge and confidential. In the context of recent and planned legislative, health and social care developments, of growing demand for our services and of our 2nd Statement of Strategy ‘The Next Stage’, Sage is now seeking:
Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) – Regulation of Independent Advocacy x1
Sage Advocacy has a strong reputation for independence of thought and action and is a ‘go to’ service in relation to issues of capacity and decision making. Its approach is to collaborate where possible and to challenge where necessary. It is now calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals or organisations to prepare a discussion document on the issue of regulation of independent advocacy which will enable Sage consider options and possible approaches when engaging with government, stakeholder organisations and potential regulatory bodies on this issue.
