Job Title: Premium Search Officer
Location: Remote, but will require one day per month in Dublin
Salary: €32,000
Employment: Permanent – Full Time.
The Organisation:
Boardmatch is the leading charity in Ireland working to promote and develop stronger non-profit and charity boards. It provides a free online matching service; an interactive website allowing candidates and boards to find each other. Every year Boardmatch places at least 450 new board members onto charity and non-profit boards and increases every year.
In addition to this free service, Boardmatch offers a managed board search service for non-profit organisations, namely the Premium Search service. The Premium Search service has a high success rate to date in finding trustees for not-for-profit boards. The service enables Boards to focus on their other governance responsibilities whilst their board recruitment is taken care of by an experienced Premium Search Team.
The Role
The Premium Search Officer will assist the Head of Premium Search grow and improve the Premium Search service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the Premium Search service.
- Manage a designated portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, client-focused board recruitment service.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all activity and interactions using Boardmatch’s CRM system.
- Extract and analyse data to produce reports and insights that support the work of the Premium Search team.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with boards and senior leaders within the charity and not-for-profit sector.
- Represent the Premium Search service and Boardmatch at external events and networking opportunities as a brand ambassador.
- Liaise closely with colleagues across the wider Boardmatch team to ensure service alignment and to identify cross-functional opportunities.
- Consistently meet agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with the objectives of the Premium Search service.
- Support the organisation and delivery of key Premium Search events, briefings, and webinars.
- Demonstrate flexibility in carrying out additional duties as may be reasonably assigned within the Premium or wider Boardmatch team.
To be successful in this role, experience or knowledge of the below is preferable:
1. Recruitment Experience
- End-to-end recruitment
- Writing compelling role descriptions and ads
- Candidate engagement and relationship building
- Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment
2. Charity/Nonprofit Sector Knowledge
- Understanding of charity governance, structure, and values
- Knowledge of trustee/board recruitment
- Experience working with volunteers or mission-driven organisations
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders (board members, execs, candidates)
- Experience managing client relationships, particularly in mission-led contexts
- Skilled in managing expectations and navigating sensitive situations
4. Project Management
- Organising and tracking multiple recruitment campaigns
- Meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
- High attention to detail and process-oriented thinking
- Experience of using a CRM system
5. Communication
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Skilled at presenting candidates and articulating value
- Ability to communicate with diplomacy, especially when expectations differ
