NOVAS: Property Development Scheme Worker
NOVAS is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Property Development Scheme Worker to support the delivery of our housing development programme. This is a six-month specified purpose contract, reporting to the Head of Housing. The role is home-based with travel to Limerick, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary and Dublin as required.

Location: Working-from-home but with travel as needed
Salary: The salary scale offered for this role will be made on a pro-rata basis for the term of the contract. Offers of appointment are made based on qualifications and experience. The annualised salary scale ranges from €45,000 to €58,715 FTE (€3,750 – €4,893 per month).
About NOVAS
NOVAS is an Approved Housing Body and not-for-profit organisation providing housing and support services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. With over 300 staff and more than 30 services nationwide, they deliver social housing, homeless accommodation, tenancy sustainment and community-based supports.
The Role
You will play a key role in progressing a busy pipeline of housing acquisition and development schemes, ensuring that all steps in the process are managed in the right order and completed to a high standard. Working closely with developers, auctioneers, valuers, solicitors and local authorities, you will provide administrative and project support to move schemes from initiation through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Housing in managing the acquisition and development process for social housing schemes.
- Liaise with developers, solicitors, estate agents and local authorities to progress schemes.
- Co-ordinate surveys, valuations and professional services required for property acquisitions.
- Maintain accurate project files and financial records.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, CAS funding requirements, and relevant standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve housing delivery targets.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in property development or acquisitions within an Irish Approved Housing Body or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) process.
- Strong administrative, organisational and process management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to prioritise, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Full driving licence and use of own car.
Desirable
- Familiarity with CALF and public procurement frameworks.
- Experience working in the not-for-profit or housing sector.
