A Fixed Term Contract from September 2025 – July 2026. To be confirmed Subject to funding.
The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate and implement a WWETB funded Local Training Initiative (LTI) to meet the education needs of the learners.
The aim of the program is to deliver a Major Certificate in Pathways to Employment QQI Level 4 and additional modules as required by WTCDP.
The Co-Ordinator will support the learners to complete the training program within the time frame of the course and support learners to identify progression routes into further training, education or employment. The Co-Ordinator will be required to link with the Community Training Officer WWETB with all matter of the Program.
Reporting to: CEO of Mincéirí Port Láirge
Training Programme: To co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of the first year’s modules QQI Level 4 Pathways to Employment to approximately 10-12 learners.

- Personal Effectiveness
- Maths
- I.T
- Communications
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Co-Ordinator will:
- Report to the CEO of Mincéirí Port Láirge in structured staff supervision/support sessions as required
- Make sure that the learning environment is safe and adhering to all health and safety procedures put in place by management
- Create a friendly, supportive and effective learning environment
- Adhere to equality legislation
- Provide learners with all relevant information about the training & course supports such as childcare and other supports.
- The LTI co-ordinator will deliver at least 2 of the 4 training modules
- Support the external tutors to deliver the training programme as agreed
- Undertake administration tasks as required
- Operate strictly within the allotted budget for the training programme
- Liaise with WWETB personnel to ensure the smooth running of the training initiative
- Attend staff meetings of Mincéirí Port Láirge as required
- Provide individual support and small group support as required in out of class hours and evaluation in the form of monthly one-to-one supervision to the learners.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Mincéirí Port Láirge
- Undertake other tasks and duties as required by Mincéirí Port Láirge management in relation to the LTI programme
Location: The Local Training Initiative office and training room will be based at
2nd. Floor Déise House, Railway Square, Waterford. X91 FX2K
Hours of Work: 35 hrs. per week
Salary: Paid weekly, this position is funded by SOLAS through WWETB, and the salary will be based on National LTI Co-Ordinator rates. This rate which will be available at interview.
Garda Vetting: The successful candidate will be required to comply with Garda Vetting procedures.
