Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Contract term: 2 years fixed contract with possibility of extension subject to funding.
Successful candidate will be subject to 6-month Probation.
Hours of work: 14 hours per week
Salary: €17 per hour, with flexibility to be worked over 2 -4 days as agreed.
Responsible to: Mincéirí Port Láirge CEO
Holiday entitlement: 7 weeks plus public holidays pro rata
Role location: Mincéirí Port Láirge office, Deise House, Poleberry, Waterford City, X91 FX2K
Main purpose of role
Under the supervision of the CEO, carry out day to day financial processes and procedures in accordance with Mincéirí Port Láirge financial procedures and policies, ensuring accurate and timely account records and providing appropriate and timely financial information to the CEO and Directors as required. Some additional admin support to Mincéirí Port Láirge staff as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Finance administration
- Working with the CEO to provide accurate records for monitoring of budgets.
- Uploading of approved EFT payments through online banking for Authorisation.
- Maintain data entry into Sage accounting software and upkeep payment records.
General office Administration
- Contact person for contact with service providers.
- To maintain stationery supplies and ordering when required.
- Answering office phone calls.
- Maintaining timesheets and holiday leave records.
- Monitoring for funding opportunities.
- Supporting office management.
- Secretarial duties for the Board of Management
- To undertake such other duties as are reasonably appropriate to the job.
Training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidate.
