The Role

As part of its ongoing development, Friends of the Elderly Ireland is seeking to employ a Fundraising Coordinator to facilitate donor engagement & coordinate CSR partnerships. The key responsibility of this role is to support the daily activities of Friends of the Elderly and, in particular, the Fundraising and Communications Manager. The successful candidate will coordinate and develop involvement of potential and existing corporate partners, and develop relationships through CSR days within FOTE. They will also provide administrative support to help ensure the smooth provision of the charity’s fundraising and communications objectives, and further engagement in Corporate partnerships.

The successful candidate will work from the charity’s offices at 25 Bolton Street, Dublin 1.
Wages: 33k

Key activities will include, but may not necessarily be restricted to, the following:

  • Coordinating corporate social responsibility days within Friends of the elderly
  • Dealing with incoming calls and addressing queries received by email and post relating to fundraising and communications.
  • Responding to enquiries from new and potential corporate partners
  • Processing of CHY claims
  • Sponsorship communications
  • Community fundraising and communications
  • Managing donor data on the charity’s CRM system: Salesforce
  • Providing acknowledgements and support to corporate and individual donors
  • Fundraising volunteer administration and coordination
  • Community fundraising cash coordination
  • Social media communications to include Friends of the Elderly & Ritzy Rags Charity Shop

Person Spec and Responsibilities

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 1 year' experience working within fundraising, community development, project management or a related area
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Process the ability to engage corporate partners and build solid relationships
  • Experience of working with a CRM system (Ideally Salesforce)
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess the skills to effectively work in a collaborative environment
  • Be committed to quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a detail-oriented position
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with co-workers in a team-oriented environment

Desirable Criteria:

  • A 3rd level qualification in fundraising/marketing or related field
  • Experience in Salesforce is a distinct advantage
  • Proficient in presenting and public speaking
  • Previous experience in an NGO environment
  • You will support the development and implementation of strong supporter experience strategies.
  • Be able to build and maintain relationships with donors, enabling retention, loyalty, and income growth.

Your Role Responsibilities:

  • You will provide excellent supporter care to fundraisers across communities, events, and within corporate partnerships
  • You will work to create and build strong and lasting supporter relationships, growing engagement, connection, and lifetime value
  • You will be experienced in using data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement across all fundraising activities, leading to better audience profiling, segmentation, and targeting.
  • Possess a keen eye for results and impact related to all fundraising streams
  • You will have experience managing supporter relationships through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform and will contribute to FOTE CRM's development and data management plans in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines
  • Have a clear focus on strong storytelling and two-way communications
  • Internally, you will support colleagues and help promote a strong culture and understanding of the role of supporter experience and fundraising
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to be a supportive and effective team member
