Instructor Cover Panel

Tralee Community Training Centre CLG, funded by Kerry Education & Training Board, are seeking to create a cover panel fill these roles involve delivering training to early school leavers aged 16 to 21.

Position Title: Instructor Cover Panel (Catering, Hairdressing, Construction, Technology, General Learning & Supervision)

Location: Tralee Community Training Centre, Monavalley Ind. Est., Tralee, Co. Kerry. V92 V9VC

Job Overview: 

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our cover panel for instructor positions in the areas of Catering, Hairdressing, Construction, Technology, and General Learning & Supervision. Successful applicants will be called upon to provide cover on an as-needed basis in our training centre, supporting learners in their educational and skills development journey.

Criteria for Application:

1. Qualifications:

• Relevant industry qualifications in the subject area (e.g., Catering, Hairdressing, Construction, Technology).
• A third-level degree or equivalent in education, or related field, is desirable.
• A Train the Trainer qualification (Level 6) or equivalent is required.

2. Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in the chosen field.
• Prior experience teaching or training within a community training centre, Youthreach, or similar educational setting is an advantage.

3. Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with learners.
• Strong organisational skills to plan and deliver lessons according to course standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support learners from diverse backgrounds.

4. Garda Vetting:

• Applicants must be willing to undergo the required Garda Vetting process and provide appropriate references.

5. Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to provide cover at short notice when required.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
