Invitation to Tender for Training and Delivery of Southill Hub Healthy Relationships Programme

Who We Are

Southill Hub is a community centre in O’ Mally Park, Southill, Limerick. The Centre provides a number of locally based services:

  • a community café
  • community facilities including a sports hall, meeting rooms and multi-use space for community groups and organisations working with the community
  • UBU funded youth programmes to young people from 10-25 years in the community
  • Issue specific programmes such as TYESI and Healthy Relationships programme
  • Office space for community providers

The Programme

The Southill Hub has been developing a bespoke programme for young people living in disadvantaged communities. This programme has been developed in collaboration with the young people in the community and is now ready to be rolled out with youth groups. We intend to train up to eight youth workers working in similar areas in the city and piloting the training on two sites.

The programme has been overseen and supported by a steering group consisting of the Southill Hub, Limerick and Clare ETB Youth Work, ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services, Rape Crisis Mid West, HSE Health Promotion, Limerick CYPSC and Limerick City and County Council.

The steering group wish to invite tenders from suitably qualified and competent consultants to deliver the training and support the roll out of the pilot programmes.

Proposal

The proposal from those tendering should include how the consultant will:

  • Liaise with the Youth Workers who delivered the initial programme with the young people to develop a full understanding of the programme
  • Liaise with the Researcher who was contracted to write the programme, based on the role out with young people in the Southill Hub service
  • Deliver the training to Youth Workers from across Limerick
  • Organise and support the roll out and pilot of the full programme to two sites in Limerick

Requirements

  1. Knowledge, skills and experience in training and programme delivery for young people
  2. Knowledge, skills and experience in working with disadvantaged communities
  3. Knowledge of the National Youth policy
  4. Demonstrable experience of programme training
  5. Demonstrable experience of supporting the roll out of training

Application Process

  1. Cover letter, including guiding principles, and a brief outline plan and methodology for the work
  2. CV(s) of all personnel involved
  3. Detailed costings/ quotes for the work to be undertaken to include VAT.
  4. Examples of other previous aligned work
  5. Timeframe for the completion of tasks
  6. Details of two referees
  7. Applicants should include tax clearance and insurance details as part of the application.

Criteria for Evaluation

  1.  Service delivery proposal training and delivery support (60%)
  2. The understanding of the brief (30%)
  3. Price Proposal (10%)

Start Date & Budget

The maximum budget available is €10, 000 inclusive of VAT and expenses. The expected timeframe for completion of the work is 5 months, commencing August 2025.

Application Deadline
