Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to coordinate and deliver a WWETB funded LTI Programme to meet the diverse needs of 3rd country nationals (those born outside the EU). The outcome will be for learners to achieve a QQI Level 4 Major Award in Pathways to Employment through the delivery of agreed modules that enables the learners to complete their training programme within the timeframe of the programme (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026).

Reporting:

The Coordinator will report to the Management of Waterford Integration Services and will be required to liaise with the designated Community Training Officer (CTO) and other personnel of WWETB with all matters of the programme.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate the development, delivery and implementation of a Pathways to Employment training programme leading to QQI Awards @ Level 4.
  • Provide Education delivery, Management and substantial Administration duties in the organisation of the Programme, supported by an established tutor panel.
  • Deliver the programme in a safe, effective manner.
  • Ensure the work is planned efficiently, is monitored, evaluated and documented in accordance with WIS and WWETB directives.
  • Implement strategies for learner recruitment and continued engagement of migrant communities.
  • Identify and develop strategies to overcome barriers of participation and implement referral pathways to advocacy and other services.
  • Liaise with programme tutors and facilitators around module descriptors and preparation of assignments.
  • Prepare and assess QQI Awards for submission.
  • Ensure compliance through the implementation of timely, sound financial management practice in relation to budgets and financial reporting.
  • Oversee and monitor the preparation of budget expenditure records in accordance with WIS & WWETB policy & practice.
  • Report writing to include – monthly progress reports, minutes of meetings, annual report, learner records and other correspondence as deemed necessary.
  • Identify potential funding sources and prepare applications to further develop programme outcomes. This includes subsequent programme applications to WWETB & Solas on a year-by-year basis.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Garda Vetting: The successful candidate will be required to adhere with Garda Vetting procedures.

Salary: The position is funded by SOLAS through WWETB @National Coordinator rates.

Location: Waterford Integration Services Headquarters, WCQ Place, 16-18 O’Connell St, Waterford, X91 KVN9.

Person Specification

Skills and Experience – Essential:

  • Have a 3rd Level academic qualification,
  • Have a recognised training qualification,
  • Have experience of working with economic, social, environmental and educational challenges for learners,
  • Have excellent command of English Language, and excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Have experience of delivering training modules, including resourcing additional relevant learning materials,
  • Be familiar with accreditation preparation and management processes,
  • Demonstrate self-initiative skills,
  • Competence in IT systems, have the ability to work effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team,
  • Demonstrate strong skills in administration, including budget management, governance, time management and scheduling.

  • Other qualifications specific to Education and Training
  • Experience and ability to deal with diverse applicants
