Loop Head Together CLG is seeking a dynamic Project Manager for an exciting new European Innovation Partnership focused on “Soil Carbon Enhancement for Excess Nutrient Elimination” (the SCEENE EIP).

Are you interested in a challenging management position, where you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including farmers, third-level institutes, engineers, local government bodies, and community organisations? With the stunning Loop Head peninsula as your backdrop, no two days will be the same in this vital role. This key position is offered as a fixed-term, fixed purpose, contract for 4¼ years, and we are ideally looking for someone based in County Clare. An experienced, self-motivated Project Manager will be central to the successful and timely implementation of the EIP. You will be responsible for the overall project delivery, working closely with the Project Lead and the EIP Operational Group. You will coordinate project tasks, timelines, and the efforts of external contractors and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • At least five years’ experience in project management, ideally within the agri-environmental sector
  • A solid understanding of research, soil health, carbon sequestration, and sustainable land use
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:

  • Overseeing the overall implementation of the SCEENE EIP project
  • Coordinating the delivery of all project tasks and timelines
  • Managing relationships with farmers, engineers, local authorities, and external contractors
  • Regularly reporting project progress to the Project Lead and EIP Operational Group
  • Ensuring compliance with all project-related regulations and standards
