Position: Family & Child Case Worker (Ref: FCW)
Location: Coolock, Dublin 17 and Donnycarney, Dublin 5
Brook Recovery Hub and Donnycarney Youth Project (DYP), are dynamic, community-based projects dedicated to supporting children, young people, families, and individuals impacted by addiction. Based in Coolock and Donnycarney, we offer a range of services including our Family and Child Service, which plays a vital role in creating meaningful, lasting change in the community.
As we expand our services, we are looking for passionate, motivated, and proactive individuals to join our growing team! The successful candidate will work between our premises in Coolock and Donnycarney. Addiction Case Work will be included in the role.
Now Hiring: Family & Child Case Worker (Full-Time, 1-Year Contract)

What We’re Looking For – Essential Criteria:
- Level 8 qualification in family support work, social care, or a related discipline with a focus on addiction.
- Minimum of three years’ full-time experience supporting families impacted by substance misuse or addiction.
- Proven commitment to a non-judgmental, client-centred approach.
- Experience delivering group facilitation and one-to-one support services with addiction or related fields.
- Proficiency in IT applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for community-based work.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Formal accreditation or training in The 5 Step Method, Steps 2 Cope, ACRA, CRA, or similar addiction-specific interventions.
- Training in evidence-based parenting programmes, such as Parents Under Pressure or similar, with an emphasis on families affected by addiction.
- Experience working directly with young people and families dealing with alcohol or drug misuse.

This role includes daytime, evening, and occasional weekend work. It offers the chance to work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment where your ideas and energy will be valued.
Salary: Aligned with the HSE Social Care Salary Scale, depending on experience.
