Amber Womens Refuge CLG invites applications for the following position:

Relief Project Workers

To work as part of the Refuge Project team on an As and When required basis.

Amber Womens Refuge, is a long-established organisation working to empower women and children of all cultures and backgrounds to live abuse-free lives. As a specialist domestic abuse service our professional team works alongside others to safeguard women and children against domestic abuse, including coercive control. We provide safe, supportive, client centred services, from early intervention to recovery, both in the community and at the refuge.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Third level qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience of working directly with women and/or children in a care or support setting.
  • Be available to cover Annual Leave, Sick Leave and at short notice cover.
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills.

Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of violence against women and children in society.
  • Experience of lone working

Work Flexibility and Other Requirements:

Must be flexible to work outside of standard office hours, including weekends, to meet the evolving needs of our services. The hours are as when required and may include working day or night shifts (Currently - Day shift 8am-9pm, Waking Night shift 8.30pm-8.30am).
