The Role:
Teach Tearmainn’s Refuge opened in 2014. The safe homes service opened in 2022. Reporting to the Refuge Coordinator, the Relief Worker will be responsible for providing safe accommodation and support to women who have fled their home as a result of domestic violence and abuse. The Relief Worker will be responsible for providing families in our safe homes and refuge with a safe and caring space to stay while healing from their experiences of abuse.
Support will be provided using a trauma informed and empowerment approach. The Relief Worker will also be responsible for making both internal and external referrals to ensure our service users receive the support services they require. The Relief Worker will also provide support and information to Helpline Callers. For more information about this role, please see the job description and person specification document.
Please Note: You must have a minimum Level 7 degree in Social Care/Work or be working towards this (year ¾) to be considered for this role.
