​ROLE: Youth Justice Worker

​Salary: Grade 4 salary scale: €40,498 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37.5 standard hours (including breaks) (Flexibility Required)
Contract Status: Permanent Role
Location: Watch House Cross, Parteen Road, Limerick ​

About the service:

Extern is operating the Southside Youth Initiative which is a Youth Diversion Project (YDP) working with young people based in the Southside of Limerick city. The Youth Diversion Project (YDP) is community based and collaborates with multi-agencies to address and prevent youth crime. The YDP primarily seeks to divert young people (12-18 years) who have been involved in anti-social and/or criminal behaviour and, also to engage with young people (8-11 years) through early intervention by providing suitable activities, promote civic responsibility and improve long-term employability prospects. The YDP has recently began providing family support interventions to families who are already engaged in our programme. This offers a wrap around service to young people and families to support positive outcomes.
