Position: Addiction Case Worker

Location: Coolock, Dublin 17 and Donnycarney, Dublin 5

Brook Recovery Hub and Donnycarney Youth Project (DYP) are a vibrant and dynamic community-based addiction team committed to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. We provide a comprehensive wrap-around service that addresses the complex needs of our clients and their families.

As we have expanded our services, we are looking for passionate, motivated, and proactive individuals to join our growing team! The successful candidate will work between our premises in Coolock and Donnycarney. Family and Child Case Work will be included in the role.

About the Role:

As an Addiction Case Worker, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred, holistic services to individuals experiencing addiction-related issues, as well as providing support to their families.

Role Criteria 

  • Qualification: Level 8 Degree in Social Care, Social Science, Addiction Studies, or related field
  • Experience in Substance Use Settings: Minimum 3 years full-time paid experience
  • Experience in Evidence-Based Interventions (MI, CRA, CRAFT, CBT, SMART): Formal accreditation or training in these specific addiction based interventions
  • Group Work: Experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of therapeutic groups
  • Working Hours: Flexibility required, including regular evening support
  • Driving Licence: Full Clean Driver’s Licence essential and DI licence desirable

Additional Information:

  • Location: Successful candidates will work across Donnycarney and Bonnybrook/Coolock areas.
  • Relief Panel: We are also recruiting for relief staff to form a panel. The above criteria will apply accordingly.
  • Salary: Aligned with the HSE Social Care Worker Salary Scale, and commensurate with experience.
