Community Link Worker - Traveller & Roma

The School Completion Programme (SCP) is a targeted programme of support under the Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools (DEIS) Programme, funded by Tusla Education Support Services (TESS). SCP aims to retain a young person to completion of the leaving certificate, equivalent qualification or suitable level of educational attainment which enables them to transition into further education, training or employment. There are 122 SCP Projects nationally.

Bawnogue Deansrath SCP invites applications for a Community Link Worker - Traveller & Roma. The role is a key action within the Traveller and Roma Education Strategy (TRES) to support the attendance, participation, retention and progression of Traveller and Roma children and young people in education by increasing and supporting more engagement between schools and parents/families, supporting young people at key transition points and increasing their sense of belonging in schools.

This is an 18 Month Fixed Term Position, full time, 35 hours per week.

Note: This position will start at end of August 2025. A panel will be retained for a period of one year. However, this does not guarantee any offers of employment.
