Edmund Rice Development

Edmund Rice Development is a development agency established in 2008 in Ireland by the Congregation of Christian Brothers and governed today by an independent board of directors.

Edmund Rice Development (ERD) is dedicated to the liberation of people and communities from poverty and injustice. We collaborate to support the sustainability of our partner projects by sourcing funding, building donor engagement and working with our partners to improve development capacity. ERD is committed to transparency and accountability, and to an efficient, effective operation that impacts positively on the lives of people made poor.

ERD supports the international development projects and programmes of our Edmund Rice Mission partners in the areas of Education (formal and informal), Community Development and Advocacy. We provide funding, development and capacity-building support to over 40 partner projects, benefiting over 41,000 people each year in 13 countries across Africa, India, Latin America and the Pacific Rim.
