Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland

The Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI) is an organisation working for disabled people, promoting independence and equal opportunity through mobility, education and training. The organisation’s members are people with disabilities themselves.

Our Objectives:

  • To promote the treatment, training, education and general rehabilitation and welfare of person(s) with any permanent physical disability.

Mission Statement:

“The Disabled Drivers Association takes care to present physical disability in the best possible light and strives to show that most physical disabilities can be overcome and individuals can go on to achieve their full potential with the benefit of support and training”

The DDAI provides support, information and some service around motoring to persons with a disability. It provide driving assessments, driving tuition and the DDAI is an administrator of the EU Disabled Person’s Parking Permit on behalf Of the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport.
