Women’s Collective Ireland: Waterford Development Worker (Part Time)

Women’s Collective Ireland (WCI) are recruiting for the following position:
WCI Waterford – Part time Development Worker
25 hours per week based in WCI Waterford office, located in 74 Manor Street, Waterford, X91FA02, Ireland.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women’s equality and women’s well-being.
Employed by the WCI Board of Directors, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI Waterford and to facilitate and support the development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience community development working within the community development sector.
- Minimum of Level 6 qualification in community development or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- An understanding of grassroots feminism, community education and development principles.
- The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
- The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
- The ability to assist with the planning and the delivery of relevant programmes and activities within WCI Waterford.
- The ability to network with other community organisations to support women’s participation and strengthen referral pathways.
- The ability to work as part of a team.

The salary for the post is based on the 2nd Point of WCI Development Worker Salary Scale - €33,491.00 (pro rata)
