The Role
We are currently seeking a Family Worker to join our Assessment Team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is at the early stages of their career and looking to gain practical, frontline experience in the child and family support sector.
The successful candidate will carry out Child Protection and Welfare assessments on behalf of Tusla, using the Signs of Safety (SOS) framework. Full training in the SOS model will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments in line with Tusla protocols
- Engage directly with children and families in a supportive and professional manner
- Record and evaluate outcomes of interventions
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team
- Travel as required within the service area
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Social Care, or a relevant discipline
- Experience working with children and families (voluntary or paid)
- A full, clean driving licence and access to own transport
Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience of the Signs of Safety framework
- Experience using outcome evaluation tools
- Familiarity with digital record keeping systems (e.g., Salesforce)
