CLAY CLG is currently inviting applications for the position of
Project Leader
CLAY is a community-based Youth Centre, purpose built to provide and facilitate a fully integrated, caring, and innovative youth project for the young people of the lower Crumlin Dublin 12 and surrounding areas.
Summary Role of Project Leader
To work in partnership with the Voluntary Board of Directors, staff and community leaders to follow through the aims, objectives and agreed areas of work outlined in the current strategic plan (2023-2025) and goals for CLAY (see Strategic Plan in attachments). The Project Leader will manage a core staff team and oversee the facilitation and development of all programmes and services operating in the Centre. Providing leadership in the organisation ensuring the long-term mission and values of CLAY are upheld. They will support and coordinate the successful implementation of the UBU Your Space Your Place Youth Work and IYJS Youth Diversion service provision and will be pivotal in securing resources for same. They will also have oversight into development of a new strategic plan for 2025 onwards
Location: Crumlin, Dublin 12
Contract: Full-time 35-hour week excluding lunch breaks. The role involves some flexibility, including evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be provided.
Salary: Dept of Education Senior Youth Worker. Salary scale will apply including public service increases. Point on scale will be based on relevant experience
Summary Person Specification:
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- An NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work is essential plus 5 years full time experience of working with young people with fewer opportunities in a youth work setting in a paid capacity.
or - Have worked with young people with fewer opportunities for five years full time in a paid capacity and have an equivalent professional Degree level qualification within the Education/Social Sciences /Youth Work or Community Work field.
Essential:
- 3 years plus (full time) experience of managing staff, staff supervision and budgetary control
- Experience and Knowledge of UBU and YDP programmes
- Experience of carrying out the role of ‘Mandated Person’ in a Youth Work environment
- Full clean Driver’s License
