As Ireland's longest-running free gay publication, Gay Community News (GCN) boasts the largest gay and lesbian readership in the country. Since it was first published as a free newspaper in 1989, GCN has been distributed in pubs, clubs, cafés, libraries, resource centres and bookshops throughout Ireland, north and south, and has built a loyal readership along the way. Because GCN has been around for so long, picking up your monthly copy has become an established routine with a large proportion of Ireland's estimated half million lesbians and gay men.
For the past 12 years, GCN has provided you with up-to-date information in a newspaper format free from venues across the country. Now that information is being made available online. The many links we have established with PR and media agencies, databases and other sources of information, coupled with our strong base within the Irish LGBT community, will now be used to provide you with the most up-to-date information at the touch of a button.
Our online team will be up-dating the site regularly and launching various new services over the internet.
