WALK

We are leaders in a movement for change, empowering people with disabilities to live self-determined lives in an equal and inclusive society. We provide a holistic service that is conducive to the growth and development of each individual.

The values of the organisation are:

  • Person centred
  • Rights based
  • Building inclusive communities
  • Respectful
  • Focused on the wellbeing of both people supported and staff
  • Flexible, resourceful and creative

You will be provided with the necessary supports to complete your role, whatever that may be. Extensive training and ongoing support is provided. There are many opportunities to be creative and involved in innovative and worthwhile projects both in and outside of your direct role.

The organisation is grounded in the philosophy of continuous quality improvement. They have been awarded Quality marks from CQL and PQASSO and in the past two years have received national winners from CIPD for ‘Creating a Values based Culture’ and ‘Embedding a Culture of Workplace Wellbeing’

Upon starting you will be linked with a mentor who is not your line manager who you can ask any questions and they will help you settle into your new role.

The organisation prides itself on recruiting the right staff with high levels of commitment to the vision of the organisation.
