Our vision is: "To create a dynamic, healthy, safe and fun environment where all young people in Kildare can meet, relax, and access a wide range of activities and supports."

Our mission is: “Creating opportunities with and for young people in Kildare”

Our guiding principles are based on young people being:

• Respected and valued
• Reaching their full potential
• Included (particularly young people who are traditionally excluded)
• Enabled to have a voice, be listened to and be central to decision making processes
• Offered opportunities to express themselves
• Meeting new friends, having fun and experiencing new things

We will run the Hive in a way that:

• Ensures young people are core in decision making and have opportunities to lead in all aspects: the space, programmes and the organisation
• Supports collaborative working between agencies
• Values innovation and utilises a range of approaches to engage with young people
• Is flexible and adaptable to changing needs
• Runs in accordance with best practice
• Informs future youth service provision.
