RADE (Recovery through Arts, Drama and Education)

RADE Ltd (Recovery through Arts, Drama and Education) is a community employment scheme based in Dublin which engages substance mis-users with arts activities such as drama, art, tai chi, film production and creative writing.

The purpose of RADE is to train participants in arts activities designed to facilitate and encourage them in progression routes such as employment, further education and training. All of our activities will improve the quality of life by enhancing:

  • Communication Skills                                        
  • Literacy Skills
  • Confidence building
  • Articulation
  • Posture and stress management
  • Development of personal presentation
  • Awareness of healthy, social activities e.g. gallery, museum and theatre visits, trips to the countryside

Every year we Showcase our work in a major theatre in Dublin. In recent years it has been the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar.  We produce a theatre production, exhibit the group’s artwork, perform a tai chi display, publish a creative writing book and produce a film documentary.
