For Graphic Design Services
TU Dublin Students’ Union CLG invites qualified and experienced Graphic Designers (individual or firm) to express their interest in providing creative graphic design services to the Students’ Union from October 2025 for a period of up to 3 years.
The successful supplier will be responsible for co-developing the Union’s visual style and delivering high quality designs in various formats suitable for both print and digital use, within agreed timelines.
Background information
The Technological University of Dublin Students’ Union (TU Dublin SU) is a Constitutional Body that represents the interests of the students of TU Dublin. It is student owned, student led, student accountable and officially recognised by the Governing Body of TU Dublin as the autonomous voice of the students of the university.
Its mission is to support student life by providing a range of student services including events and campaigns, providing advice & advocacy and representation in the defense of students’ rights in academic, social, and personal matters and is independent of TU Dublin.
The TU Dublin Students’ Union has two structures. One of which is a democratic political structure, the Student Council; this establishes policy for the Union and to which all Elected Officers are accountable. The second, TU Dublin SU CLG, is a company which manages the operational functions of the Students’ Union and is owned by students of TU Dublin through their union membership.
Scope of work
The selected designer will be expected to:
- Design and deliver campaign-led materials that align with the Students’ Union communications strategy, targeting all TU Dublin campuses to maximise student engagement.
- Produce a range of branded communication and marketing assets (print and digital) in collaboration with elected Officers and SU staff.
- Apply and maintain TU Dublin SU brand standards across all outputs, including templates for presentations, mailings, email signatures, and other required formats.
- Assist in updating and managing website visuals and content (in collaboration with the Communications Executive) to ensure a user-friendly, visually consistent online presence.
- Coordinate effectively with the SU President, elected Officers, and TU Dublin SU CLG staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality design work.
- Attend weekly meetings with the Communications team to ensure all design requirements are fulfilled withing the agreed timeframe.
