Since 1984, Southside Travellers Action Group has supported Travellers and the wider community in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. We deliver programmes in education, employment, health, and youth services, guided by Traveller leadership and participation and supported by a diverse team of staff and management.

Task Programme Coordinator
(Full time, 37.5 hours, Mon – Fri)
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, skilled and qualified TASK Programme Coordinator to join our team. You will work closely with the Programme Management Team and report into the Director of STAG to ensure the effective delivery, quality and sustainability of the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver and assess at least 85% of QQI Level 4 modules
- Co-design the annual Project Plan for approval by DDLETB
- Lead recruitment and engagement of programme participants
- Provide ongoing support, mentoring and guidance to learners
- Manage programme documentation, evaluations and reporting
- Liaise with DDLETB, STAG Director and other key stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of programme delivery and outcomes
About Task
TASK (Training, Awareness, Skills and Knowledge) is a Local Training Initiative (LTI) funded by the Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB). The programme aims to train and educate young people from the wider South Dublin community, with a particular focus on supporting members of the Travelling Community aged 16–35, providing opportunities to progress into further education, training or employment.
TASK delivers 9 QQI-accredited modules including:
- Team Working
- IT Skills
- Customer Service
- Work Experience
- Career Planning
- Functional Mathematics
- Communications
- Interculturalism
- Personal & Interpersonal Development
Successful participants receive a Full Major Award in Employment Skills (QQI Level 4), equivalent to the Leaving Certificate.
Candidate Profile
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience designing and delivering QQI-accredited training.
- Recognised Train the Trainer or QQI Level 6+ teaching qualification.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, report writing and organisational abilities.
- Understanding of the social and educational challenges faced by the Traveller community.
- Experience working with marginalised youth or similar groups
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience coordinating Local Training Initiatives (LTIs)
- Familiarity with DDLETB reporting standards

Location: Southside Travellers Action Group, Unit 5, Furze Road, St. Kieran’s Enterprise Centre, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: €677.58 per week (gross)
