About Trauma-Informed Practice Ireland

Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP) Ireland is a project of Quality Matters that provides trauma-informed training, consultancy, and organisational support. We partner with providers across health, social care, justice, education, youth, and community services to fundamentally transform how marginalised communities are supported.

Since our establishment, we have:

  • Trained over 10,000 professionals across health, social care, justice, education, youth, and community sectors.
  • Supported organisations through consultancy, implementation support, and organisational assessments.
  • Built a national community of practice, sharing research, resources, and expertise to sustain impact across sectors.
  • Delivered the biennial Trauma-Informed Practice National Conference, a space for learning, networking, and innovation on Trauma-Informed practice

We believe trauma-informed practice is about creating better outcomes for service users, while also supporting the wellbeing of staff and strengthening relationships across services. Our model has been evaluated and commended for its transformative impact for organisations driven to better serve those who have experienced interpersonal and systemic trauma. At TIP Ireland, we work in partnership with organisations to embed trauma-informed approaches that make this cultural shift possible.

TIP Ireland is a project of Quality Matters, a Dublin-based charity and social enterprise that works nationally to improve health and human services through research, training, consultancy, and social enterprise initiatives.

About the position

We are seeking a Programme Manager who will play a central role in advancing TIP Ireland’s mission to create safer, more compassionate, and more effective organisations through trauma-informed practice.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a national movement for change, working alongside organisations to improve staff wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and create better outcomes for people and communities.

As Programme Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of training
    Co-design, update, and deliver our suite of trauma-informed training programmes and materials, supporting delivery which is practical, evidence-based, and impactful. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our training offer, contribute to new programme development in response to sector needs, and ensure that training continues to inspire cultural and practice change across organisations.
  • Supervise and mentor our national panel of trainers
    Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to our panel of external trainers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. You will support trainers’ professional development, monitor feedback scores and engage if data indicates this is needed, provide mentoring and reflective practice opportunities, and recruit and onboard new trainers as needed to meet growing demand.
  • Oversee training operations
    With part-time administrative support, oversee systems for client bookings, scheduling, and trainer allocation, while ensuring excellent communication and customer service for our partner organisations. You will oversee the smooth running of all training operations, including monitoring delivery standards, collecting feedback, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement.
  • Play a central role in planning and delivering the biennial TIP National Conference
    Act as part of the team in programme design, speaker engagement, event logistics, and communications for Ireland’s largest trauma-informed practice event..
  • Oversee the trauma-informed quality standards and assessment process
    Support systems design and oversee effective delivery of trauma-informed assessments with organisations and a panel of assessors
  • Contribute to wider organisational development
    Support the operational effectiveness of Quality Matters and our social enterprise projects helping to sustain and promote a thriving workplace and organisational impact.
  • Contribute to funding applications and reporting
  • Engage with and support research

Location

Flexible working with a combination of online/remote work and occasional travel for in-person training delivery, conferences, and team collaboration days.

Hours

Full-time position (39 hours per week), with the option of 4 days per week if preferred.

Work Schedule

Flexible, with the majority of hours undertaken during standard working hours (i.e., Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required for training delivery or events.

Salary and Bonus

  • Base salary of €42,000–€45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • This annual salary is enhanced with a team bonus (based on agreed targets being meet at team level), which grows each year for the first three years. After three years, its intended that bonus will equal approximately 20–25% of base salary.

Qualifications, Experience and Qualities

Essential

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ frontline practice experience within health, social care, education, or related sectors.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in management, training, or supervision roles.
  • An in-depth working knowledge of trauma-informed practice
  • A demonstrable commitment to systematic discrimination and inequality and commitment to social justice

Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of TIP, and applied psychology
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
