General Operative, Shared Services, Dublin

Location: Dublin

Contract: Part Time, 1 year Fixed Term Contract

The purpose to this role is to create and maintain a clean and hygienic environment for staff and tenants throughout the service, including general areas, offices, and housing on site. Preparing and cleaning houses in preparation for move in with service support staff.

What you will do:

• To work within the framework of the overall aims and objective of Focus Ireland.
• To work within the overall policies and procedures of Focus Ireland, inclusive of Health and Safety Policy.
• To work within the guidelines of the daily routine, as set out by line management or by appointed systems. To work a flexible five-day rota, morning and afternoon shifts.
• To do a monthly stock check and keep stock records. To be responsible for requesting the ordering of cleaning materials from appointed person in a timely manner as required in conjunction with the line manager.
• To ensure to keep cyclical cleaning records and record information relevant to the NQSF cleaning programme requirements.
• To work with other facilities staff from Focus Ireland’s and to further cooperate with Contractors as agreed with the line manager.
• To attend regular supervision and training as agreed with your line manager.
• To clean offices, grounds, clean and prepare houses across various sites when if required.
• Report immediately to senior staff any hazards or dangers
• Report maintenance requirements to assigned staff.
• To work within a team and co-operate with fellow team members.
• Attendance at team, divisional and organizational meetings as required.
• Within reason and with prior notice, to be flexible in place and hours of work.
• To work in adherence to Focus Ireland’s ‘Working Alone’ and ‘Confidentiality’ policy.
• To undertake any other responsibilities and duties as may reasonably be assigned by your manager.

What you will need:

• Good demonstrable verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work alone, be self-motivated and work as part of a team.
• Proven employment in a cleaning specific role.
• An understanding of the client group we work with in Focus Ireland.
• Reasonable demonstrable I.T. skills.
• Full clean driving license (Desirable)
• Manual handling certificate (Desirable)
• Chemical handling certificate (Desirable)
