Location: Bawnlea Special Needs Service, Tallaght, Dublin 24
Contract: Permanent and Full Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: €43,032 - €61,843 Depending on Experience

What’s the role and service?
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Special Needs Services team in Bawnlea, Tallaght, Co. Dublin.
This service provides a specialist early years’ service, which is family focused and community based.
What will my day to day look like?
In this role, you will ensure the development, management, delivery and review of Barnardos Special Needs Service. You will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring that programmes offered to children and families attending the service are responsive to their needs and are developed in line with best practice.
- Overseeing and delivering individual and group work programmes responding to the individual needs of young children with a range of additional needs who are referred to the service by HSE Disability Network Team
- Keyworking / working directly with the parents of referred children, via individual work or group work, supporting them to meet their children’s needs by providing practical support, parenting supports, advice, information, supporting access to educational placements and other appropriate interventions as necessary, or as agreed with the HSE Disability Network Team
- Working in an integrated way with other Barnardos services in the catchment area and with the HSE Disability Network Team
- Ensuring that each child attending the service has an individual development plan, with their needs identified, agreed outcomes and regular reviews
What experience do I need?
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience and demonstrable management capacity essential.
- Experience of a lead or supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Experience of working with young children impacted by disability is essential.
- Experience of implementing interventions for both young children with additional needs and their parents / families is essential.
- Experience of planning, implementing and reviewing programmes with children and/or families is essential.
- Experience of working in partnership with other agencies is highly desirable
Do I need a qualification?
- Yes, to be considered for this role you will hold a relevant professional 3rd level qualification, minimum FETAC / QQI level 7 essential
(For example: Social Work, Social Care, Child Care, Education, Youth and Community Work, Psychology or equivalent). - Management training highly desirable.
Additional information:
Full clean driving licence and access to the use of a suitably insured vehicle essential.
