Enterprise and Employment Progression Supports Worker

Bray Area Partnership (BAP) is looking for an Enterprise and Employment Progression Supports Worker to work within the economic progressions team in the provision of a range of wrap around supports to individuals/ community groups seeking to explore their progression options to self employment/ employment or social enterprise, and to support those who have set up businesses and are in the early stage of trading.

The post is funded through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP).

Principal duties and key tasks:

  • First point of contact in dealing with clients from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and English language abilities either by phone/ face to face/ virtually
  • General administration, client registrations, handling enquiries and information provision on relevant supports
  • Scheduling appointments and programmes for client base
  • Promotion and recruitment of enterprise/social enterprise /employment progression supports to relevant groups and individuals
  • Maintaining the caseload system: track, monitor and record client case information and interventions
  • Work as part of the team and contribute to the work involved in achieving SICAP action plan projected output and outcome targets.
  • Adhere to SICAP Guidelines and operational procedures at all times
  • The above duties and responsibilities are not intended to be a complete list of all duties involved and, consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to them from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.
  • Adhere to BAP policies and procedures, including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, lone working, information governance, health and safety

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational and accuracy skills
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification desirable but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with clients
  • Demonstrable ability of working on your own initiative in a team environment and adhering to deadlines
  • Minimum of 1 year experience of relevant work experience
  • Excellent IT skills including MS office, along with experience of operating databases, social media
  • Must be able to work to deadlines
