Salary €29,936 - €44,904 per annum (depending on Skills, Qualification and Experience)

Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national organisation representing, promoting, and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 8,000 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. CHI currently employs approximately 100 colleagues.

We are committed to sustaining our current development pipeline by adding between 500 – 700 new homes every year. The majority of our homes are wholly owned by the organisation and we manage over 5.000 homes across Ireland.

We are members of the Community and Voluntary Pillar of Social Partnership and participate in numerous forums on housing and social policy. Internationally, we are members of Housing Europe and the International Cooperative Alliance, including its sector groups, Cooperatives Europe and Cooperative Housing International.

CHI is a Tier 3 Approved Housing Body and registered charity and is subject to regulation by the Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority and the Charities Regulator. CHI is a member of the Housing Alliance.

Purpose of role:

To provide administrative and lettings support to our neighbourhoods teams. To deliver services of high quality, replicating high standards continually, achieving and exceeding performance targets. This is a full-time permanent role based on a 35 hour week (Monday to Friday).

This role reports to the Lettings and Administration Team Leader.
The role has a contracted office base, but our way of working means that hybrid-working (a mix of office-based working and working from home and other locations) is normal.

Duties & Responsibilities

Letting Our Homes:

  • Arrange property viewings.
  • Proactive management of internal transfer waiting lists for re-housing to enable offers to be made as needed.
  • Build effective relationships with Local Authority partners.
  • Respond to lettings enquiries and provide housing advice to prospective customers.
  • Develop adverts and marketing campaigns for any hard to let properties which local authorities can’t provide a nomination for in partnership with Neighbourhood Specialists.
  • Ensure accurate tenancy agreements and sign-up packs are produced.
  • Ensure that nomination packs are produced and sent to all nominated people.

Registrations

  • Ensure that the annual registrations process is delivered and that new tenancies are registered with the RTB.

General Administrative

Perform general administrative duties to support the work of the neighbourhoods teams, Income team, Safer Neighbourhoods team and Environmental Services team including but not limited to:

  • Scanning and indexing, data input (e.g. starting and ending tenancies),
  • post management
  • key management
  • invoice management
  • surveys
  • questionnaires and mail merges

Facilities Management

Provide customer reception duties where applicable and support facilities management in offices e.g. alarm testing and office supplies.

Essential Requirements:

✓ Experience of delivering customer service
✓ Experience of partnership working
✓ Experience of working as part of a team
✓ IT skills – Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
✓ Experience of following set policies and processes
✓ Permission to work in The Republic of Ireland
✓ Educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent
✓ A full, clean driving licence, and access to your own vehicle

Desirable Requirements:

✓ Relevant professional qualification.
✓ Knowledge and awareness of related housing regulations/ law

A competitive salary commensurate with experience is offered for this position. CHI operates a performance-based salary model that allows for yearly salary increases on a set salary range through performance.
