Vacancy: LEADER Development Officer
 [Fixed Term Contract]

Westmeath Community Development (WCD), is the local development company for the county. We administer a range of programmes and support services to individuals and community groups that improves quality of life through the provision of lifelong learning, capacity building and labour market supports.

LEADER is a community led approach to local development funded through Ireland’s Rural Development Programme. It supports initiatives that seek to address locally identified needs and challenges. WCD is now seeking a LEADER Development officer to implement actions under this programme.

About the Role

• Job Title: LEADER Development officer
• Location: Athlone or Mullingar office [to be agreed with successful candidate]
• Contract: Fixed Term contract until 31.12.2027
• Hours: 35 hours/week with some evening and/or weekend work
• Salary: The starting salary will be within the range of €37,729 to €43,518 subject to qualifications & experience

Interview Process
