Contract: 5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:40 am–3:40pm
Start Date: 27th August 2025
End Date: 26th June 2026
Salary: €30,090 for the 10 month contract (27th August – June 26th 2026 paid fortnightly)
About the Programme
The Headlamps School Support Programme is a Bray Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force project funded by the Department of Health. Its aim is to provide a support system in four designated primary schools in Bray, meeting the needs of children at risk from the effects of substance misuse in the wider community. The project employs five staff members across the four schools. The successful candidate will be primarily based at St. Peter’s Primary School.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support to children through small group sessions
- Prepare reports as required for the Management Committee
- Manage and maintain project resources
- Collaborate effectively with other project workers
- Communicate and engage with parents
Qualifications & Experience Desirable but not essential:
- A relevant third-level degree in Education, Psychology, Child Care, Social Work, Nursing, or another related discipline A qualification in Addiction Studies and knowledge/experience of evidence-based approaches to developing social and emotional competencies in children.
Contract Details This is a fixed-term position, which will be re-advertised in summer 2026. All posts are subject to Garda Vetting.
