Fully Qualified and Accredited Play Therapist
Genesis is a well established and highly regarded psychotherapy and family therapy service, serving those who live or work in the Dublin 15 area. Our goal is provide a psychotherapy service that is low cost and accessible to all members of the community, regardless of circumstance. This position is part time (10 hours per week). Note: This post is not an employment post. The therapist will be self-employed, will be paid a fee per session, and will be responsible for paying his or her own income tax.
Genesis is seeking a part-time play therapist to provide up to 10 play-therapy sessions per week. 4 of these hours will be for maternity cover for 1 year.
Criteria:
- Hold a minimum level 8 or equivalent qualification in Psychotherapy with specific additional clinical training working with children and young people.
- Have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience practicing Psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
- Be a fully qualified and accredited Child Psychotherapist/Play Therapist/Art Therapist (ICP, IACP, IAPTP, PTIrl, PSI, FTAI or equivalent).
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and child protection legislation is essential.
- Attend Clinical Supervision regularly (in line with guidelines set out by accrediting body).
- Be flexible.
- Have good English.
- Demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills.
- Have insurance cover.
Rates:
- €42.50 per session delivered, €21 per cancellation/no show.
- €20 per month for attending Clinical Line Management.
- €70 per month towards Supervision (pro-rata, based on session hours delivered).
