Women’s Aid Dundalk CLG, Refuge & Support Service, Supports Women and Children impacted by Domestic Abuse/Coercive Control. It provides a range of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crises services and support to women and children and to the wider community.

Play Therapist – Part-time Post, 10 hours per week

(8 Hours play therapy, 1 hour Admin & 1 hour Team Meeting. Play therapy hours can be carried out over a Monday morning, Thursday afternoon or All day Friday)

The successful candidate will have:

Essential:

• Qualification and Accreditation by Academy of Play & Child Psychotherapy or relevant academic qualification such as IAPPC or APAC
• Must have at least 2 years experience as a Play Therapist
• Trauma focused experience required
• Knowledge of Domestic Violence and the impact on Children is desirable
• Intake and Assessment of all clients allocated to the therapist in conjunction with the Children & Youth Services Coordinator
• Record Keeping
• Adhering to all policies and procedures of Women’s Aid Dundalk
• Working as part of a robust Child Support Services Team focused on the delivery and support of Children & Young people impacted by Domestic Violence
• Attendance at team meetings required
