The National Women’s Council (NWC) is looking for an Executive Director to lead Ireland’s largest feminist organisation.
The National Women’s Council (NWC) is the leading representative organisation working for women’s rights and equality across the island of Ireland, founded in 1973.
We are rooted in our membership. We work together with our almost 200 member groups across the island of Ireland and a growing community of individual supporters to deliver on our purpose – to achieve women’s rights and equality.
This is a unique opportunity to:
- Provide visionary leadership at a pivotal moment for women’s rights.
- Be the public voice of NWC at national and international level.
- Drive change, influence policy, and strengthen equality across Ireland.
After many years of dedicated leadership, our current Director will be leaving NWC in the coming months. Under her leadership, NWC has grown into a stable and sustainable organisation. The Board of Directors invites applications from compassionate and visionary leaders who are ready to build on this legacy and guide the next chapter of NWC’s journey. Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Director will serve as the most senior person in the organisation. The Executive Director is responsible for strategic leadership, organisational development and sustainability, governance and board relations, external representation and advocacy.
Location: Dublin-based €84,050 per annum + 30 days’ leave + pension
