The Hive Youth Hub is centrally located in the Old Post Office in Kildare Town. The vision of The Hive is to create a dynamic, healthy, safe and fun environment where all young people in Kildare town can meet, relax, access a wide range of activities and supports. Its mission is to provide a broad range of youth development opportunities for young people aged 10-24 years. The Hive is supported by a range of agencies, local community and youth interests in a highly collaborative way and has been in operation since 2016. 

The Hive is currently recruiting for the following position:

MANAGER

The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;

• A recognised qualification (Level 7 NFQ) in a relevant field e.g. youth work, community development, education, social studies
• Experience of developing positive working relationships with young people, volunteers and communities
• Experience of collaborative working with a range of stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and management skills
• Knowledge of relevant national and regional policies, strategies
• A strong track record of developing and implementing needs based plans
• A clear understanding of youth work /community development
• An understanding that unsocial hours are required (including evenings and weekends)
• A full driving license and own transport
