Purpose of Role:
Age Action Ireland are now seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join their committed and passionate team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing the Age Action fundraising strategy through growing it’s footprint and reach in the Corporate community via a variety of activities including charity of the year partnerships, corporate partnerships, corporate campaigns, cause related marketing, staff led fundraising and sponsorships to drive income. They will also develop a plan to grow income from Trusts, Grants and Foundations by building on the existing pipeline, develop new opportunities and funding sources to help Age Action realise it’s ambitious growth strategy.
Reports to: Head of Fundraising & Communications
Duties:
This exciting opportunity will be varied and involve interactions across a range of functions.
- Develop and deliver on the strategy for corporate partners, charity of the year fundraising and corporate campaigns
- Deliver on annual income targets within budget, meeting all KPIs to ensure long term growth for this income stream
- Utilise Age Action’s case for support and develop product propositions using defined strategies to ensure supporter acquisition, growth, retention and value.
- Develop a strong plan and calendar of opportunities for submitting bids/tenders and foundation applications.
- Ensure new corporate relationships dovetail with existing partnerships being managed within the fundraising team and across Age Action.
- Ensure that all fundraising activity complies with relevant legal requirements and Age Action’s policies, including adherence to financial procedures; keeping up to date with changes to fundraising regulation and identifying impact and necessary action for Age Action.
- Create, manage, and evaluate annual operational plans to meet fundraising goals, including meeting income targets, and growing the awareness and visibility of Age Action amongst your target audience of companies, high value individual supporters and trusts.
- Develop and implement effective agreements with stakeholders including sponsor agreements, naming opportunities and screening policies/risk reviews prior to engaging with any corporate organisation.
- Implement effective evaluation and benchmarking tools to measure performance and support ongoing improvement.
- Work with the Individual Giving Manager to explore links to regular giving (Employee Giving programmes, etc) and examine opportunities to maximise individual giving income channels and opportunities.
- Work with the Communications & Digital Fundraising Officer to update and stay current on press releases, maximising the visibility of corporate partnerships through active and pre-emptive press and marketing.
- Work with the Community Events Officer to evaluate and monitor cross cutting themes and opportunities for areas of employee engagement and fundraising.
- Be responsible for management and regular updating of the corporate portfolio in Donorfy.
- Grow the brand-value and reputation of Age Action through all your work and support media, marketing and communications activities as required by the Head of Fundraising & Communications.
- Develop a pipeline and calendar of Trusts, Grants and Foundations.
- Engage with the Fundraising & Communications team to assist in annual fundraising events.
- Take personal responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the rights of older people.
- Comply with Age Action’s policies and procedures at all times, in particular Data Protection.
- Support the Head of Fundraising & Communications across all fundraising activity as required.

- To attend and organize meetings with partners, prospects and networking events and briefing Age Action’s leadership to inspire the recruitment of supports.
- A flexible approach to working hours – including evening and weekends as required.
Person Specification:
Knowledge
- Qualified to degree level or with equivalent experience. Post-Graduate qualification in fundraising, marketing, sales and/or similar is desirable.
- Comprehensive fundraising knowledge and relationship management experience.
- Strong research skills and understanding of trends, legislation, and best practice.
- Understanding and significant track record of achievement with corporate fundraising, trust funding and/or high value individual giving.
- Empathy and understanding of ageing and the needs of people as they age.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and database software.
Experience
Significant (3-5 years plus) relevant fundraising experience including:
- Delivering successful corporate fundraising strategies.
- Substantial and demonstrable in-depth experience of corporate partnerships, trusts, high-value individual supporters and supporter solicitation, engagement, retention, and care.
- A proven track record in meeting and managing challenging income targets, financial management and managing budgets.
- Experience of strong motivational management and inspiring stakeholders for a cause.
- Experience of producing professional fundraising and marketing materials.

This is a broad role and the successful candidate will have a wide variety of technical fundraising, communication, strategic and leadership skills and opportunities for development.
Age Action practices a hybrid working model, combining office-based work in our offices in Camden Street, Dublin 2 and working remotely.
