County Wicklow Partnership (CWP) is a Local Development Company with responsibility for a range of programmes including the implementation of the 2023 – 2027 LEADER Programme in County Wicklow.

The company has a vacancy for a Rural Development Officer (Fixed Term) to assist in the implementation of the Local Development Strategy 2023 – 2027.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Diploma/ Degree in a relevant discipline
• At least three years relevant experience
• A proven track record of working with community and/ or enterprise development and/or environmental initiatives
• A good understanding of rural development and the issues facing rural dwellers
• Excellent communication, facilitation and administration skills
• Ability to work on their own initiative
• Use of a car and full clean driver’s licence

Location: CWP offices, Arklow, Co. Wicklow

Duration: The contract is full-time (35hrs) on a fixed term to December 2027 (with option to extend)

Remuneration: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
