Shannon’s Hopeline: Barista/Administrator (Tus/CE Worker)
The mission of Shannon’s Hopeline is to support and educate young people and their families in the Dublin Area on the importance of looking after their mental health. To prevent suicide and reduce stigma before problems become a crisis.
Services we provide:
- Low-cost counselling service. We provide support for children and youg people from age 4 to 25 years. We are an ealy intervention service helping with issues such as Anxiety, Bullying, depression, Bereavement and many more.
- Mental Wellness camp for Teens where we educate on fitness, nutrition and mental wellness tips.
- Gift of Hope when a client finishes ant service with us.

Barista, Tus Worker
The role of the Barista is to prepare coffee and food in our new Social Enterprise coffee Dock and office administration if coffee shop is quiet.
Main Duties:
- Preparing beverages, food and serving customers.
- Ensuring HACCP Protocols are followed and recorded.
- Ensuring excellent customer service.
- Good knowledge of charity history and services to provide information to customers.
- Accurately process payments (Cash, debit) and issue receipts.
- Maintain cleaniness at all times.
- Provide general administartion support in office (if coffee shop not busy)
Knowledge and skills required
- Previous experience working as sales assisastant (But not essential as training will be provided)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Training
Barista training will be provided and other training you may feel you need.

Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Tus/CE scheme you must:
- Available 19.5 hrs a week and will run for 1 year
- Have been continuously unemployed for at least 12 months and “signing on” on a full-time basis; and
- Have been receiving a jobseeker’s payment (Jobseeker’s Benefit or Jobseeker’s Allowance) from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection for at least 12 months; and
- Be currently receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance (JA)
