The Mayo North East HR Sub Committee wish to appoint an External HR Expert to support them in their work.
Background and Context
With increasing complexity in employment legislation—particularly since 2020, including the introduction and evolution of statutory sick pay, remote working legislation, gender pay gap reporting, and enhancements to family and protective leave—it has become essential for organisations to remain agile, compliant, ensure statutory reporting is complete and proactive in how they manage their people functions. Mayo North East operates across multiple dispersed business units, each with unique operational needs, yet all governed by the same legislative obligations. To address the growing needs of our workforce and to support our managers and leaders with consistent, expert HR guidance, the Board of Mayo North East has established a HR Sub Committee.
Its primary function is to serve as a single point of accountability, responsibility, and strategic oversight for all HR matters relating to people, policy, and culture. The Sub Committee ensures that all employment-related decisions are lawful, ethical, consistent, and aligned with the strategic goals, objectives of Mayo North East.
This committee plays both a governance and operational support role, structured around three core workstreams:
- Strategic and Compliance
- Operational HR Support
- Management and Leadership Support
The HR Sub Committee now wish to appoint an External HR Expert to support them in their work.

Closing Date for Receipt of Tenders
The deadline for receipt of completed proposals is Friday 20th June at 12.00pm. Short listing of tenders may apply and applicants shortlisted will be interviewed.
