About the role

The Senior Individual Giving Officer is a new role, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of donor-centred campaigns.

You'll implement direct marketing campaigns and communications, using a variety of different channels and propositions, to recruit and welcome new IG donors.

You have a passion for recruiting new donors through digital channels and are keen to work with Debra's Senior Digital Lead In the development and evaluation of digital marketing campaigns.

This role Is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Individual Giving (IG) team, which Includes one other talented fundraiser. This presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced, and creative, fundraising person.

All your work will help grow our supporter base and increase unrestricted income so the Debra can campaign for change, fund ground-breaking research, and provide vital support and information to people living with EB in Ireland.

Main duties and responsibilities

Fundraising implementation and campaign delivery

  • Execute, manage and evaluate approved Individual Giving direct marketing campaigns across on and offline channels including digital, print, face to face and telemarketing. This Includes cash appeals and Regular Giving recruitment, conversion, and upgrade.
  • Working with the Individual Giving Executive, project manage and administrate all aspects of the DM campaign delivery process, ensuring that all campaigns are managed effectively, efficiently and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with suppliers at all stages to deliver campaigns (including creative, media and fundraising agencies, design, print and production teams) by communicating and managing campaign requirements.
  • Liaise and brief, as appropriate, key internal stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of campaigns at an operational level.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Communications and Supporter Engagement with the development and implementation of a Regular Giving programme, ensuring excellent donor care and identifying for opportunities acquisition, upgrade and reactivation campaigns.
  • Support and contribute to the wider objectives of the IG, Legacy, In Memory and Supporter Care strands of our work.

Digital marketing

  • Working with our Senior Digital Lead, support with the delivery digital fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to Facebook Birthday and In Memory Fundraisers, Regular giving activation campaigns, etc.
  • Conduct donor research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups.
  • Support the Senior Digital Lead in tracking marketing performance and return on investment from IG-related campaigns.

Monitor and report on performance

  • Monitor and provide cost and income information on individual campaigns.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and learning from test activity applied.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate the performance of each campaign.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Communications and Supporter Engagement to set and report on strategic objectives and KPIs for the IG programme.
  • Proactively engage in donor behaviour analysis and development.

Supporter care and donor experience

  • Ensure high-quality stewardship is in place, including streamlined welcome journey, newsletter, surveys, gratitude communications, and ongoing donor journey development.
  • Deliver an exceptional supporter experience across all communications and fundraising activity.
  • Ensure supporter records and consents are kept up to date at all times.
  • Ensure that all DM materials support Debra's evolving brand and follow agreed brand guidelines.

Cross-team collaboration

  • Build and develop strong working relationships with key internal teams.
  • Keep up to date with key Debra's projects and developments and use relevant projects and personal stories within the programme.

Person specification

  • Minimum two years’ experience in an individual giving fundraising role, direct marketing, or similar.
  • Experience in direct marketing fundraising, with demonstrated expertise in direct mail, digital fundraising and acquisition campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective multi-audience, donor-centred supporter journeys.
  • Proven experience of fundraising innovation.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and agencies.
  • Experience in database management, data extraction and segmentation. Knowledge of RE NXT an advantage.
  • Clear and established programme management experience, with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise time and resources and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
