Clonmel Community Training Centre (CTC) provides vocational and life skills training to early school leavers aged 16-21 who would otherwise have been excluded from active participation in both the workforce and educational opportunities. Programmes are designed to enhance each learner’s opportunities to learn new skills and achieve the certification necessary for progression into employment, further training, or continued education.

The Clonmel CTC Board invites applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals for the position of:

Maths & Numeracy Tutor – Clonmel

Part Time, 10 hours per week hours per week.

Applicants must possess

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant 3rd Level Subject Specific Qualification in Math’s or Numeracy.
• Experience of working with young people in non-formal settings.
• An ability to deliver flexible training options and to provide guidance to new and emerging learners.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and ICT skills.
• Proficient use of IT to deliver training material. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering QQI Level 3 & QQI Level 4 Math’s.
• Delivering course work within scheduled time.
• Reporting to the Centre Manager on a day-to-day basis.
• Direct supervision of learners.
• Assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of CTC services within the Training Standards System.

The salary for the role is from €33,524 – €59, 330 per annum for a FTE, with two long service increments. A maximum entry point applies to the role.
